What people are saying about Barbara

Hi Barbara,

I just wanted to thank you once again for speaking to our group, NAWBO-Ventura (National Association for Women Business Owners). Because it was the first breakfast meeting in West Ventura County, we were unsure of the attendance, but you graciously agreed to be the guest speaker. Your talk on the "Power of Perception: Building Credibility through Professional Style" was a contributing factor in the success of our meeting. We had a number of guests and members who came specifically to learn tips on how to improve on their professional style. We received positive feedback from the attendees. The ONLY complaints received were the desire for more time for your talk. One comment that I wanted to share with you stated - "Excellent presentation with important information applicable to both men and women." And this was a comment from one of our male guest! And as you said, it only takes 3 seconds to make that initial impression. A "must" for every individual and company. Everyone WILL benefit from the information you provide.

Thank you again, Barbara.

Regards,

Dear Barbara,

I want to say a very special THANK YOU for the work we shared at our Spring and Summer Sales Conference recently in Portland.

The thanks not only come from me but from the 8 other presenters throughout the week that you worked with. From the “experts” who thought they needed nothing and could do it all, you showed how they could improve and did so in a very tactical way (so they all thought it was their idea) right through to the novices who needed a lot of help.

Your style of coaching works for Nike - you work us hard and get results. You are there to help in the moments when people think it won’t work and you give them the confidence to make it work. You showed us the importance of hand movements, voice projection, body language and facial expression – combined it makes for a very natural presentation

The feedback from the shows were nothing but superb. I received countless e-mails from people (some I don’t even know who they are) saying they enjoyed every show, but the Prefontaine one blew people away...Thanks to you for your professionalism, energy, ideas and work ethic.

A special thanks for the help you gave to my colleague Sarah in her hour of need, you gave her the courage and the belief to pull off her presentation. You gave much more than the favor I asked you outside of our contract...Thanks again.

It gets better every time we work together and I look forward to working with you again in the near future. I will always ask to have you with my group, selfish I know, but I only want the best.

Many Thanks,

Dear Barbara,

I just wanted to personally thank you for your help, care and time in Portland. I am struggling to find the right words to impress upon you how much you helped me.and it was not just for the 10 minutes that I was on stage. You have given me something that will now never leave me - the knowledge and confidence that yes! I really can do it (present in front of an audience). That's not to say I won't need you again should I ever be lucky enough to work with you (as I have a long way to go) but you showed me your genuine belief in me and once I saw that.something just clicked and I did it. Thank you, you have a wonderful gift - never have I seen such a beautifully sincere way of coaching. I truly hope we do meet again.

Thank you, Barbara.

Dear Barbara,

You have a real talent and deep understanding of people and situations. You know what makes a great presentation and even more important a great presenter! In the short time we've worked together you've raised our awareness of how to make those "shifts" and dig deeper to share what we already possess inside. It's all about getting below the 30K feet we often get used to presenting in and start really connecting "with" our audience in the moment to share the message. I don't know how you do it but you manage to guide us there. I'm so glad we are working together and look forward to many more opportunities to raise the bar!

Barbara,

I really enjoyed your presentation at the Chamber. The way you made your points gave everyone in the room, no matter what their current situation, something they could make better with a minimum of effort. And frankly, it was hard to miss the style and grace with which you delivered your messages. As you disclosed your background it was obvious how well you had integrated the tools you learned into your current personal style. I’m sure you are well aware of your ability to communicate in a way that is at once authoritative yet very disarming and personal. As a professional Communications and Marketing executive who has prepared many senior execs for media exposure, it was wonderful to watch you work and it gave me some great thoughts that I can carrying into my work.

Thanks again for a great presentation,

Russ McClellan
